CRISP is a regional health information exchange (HIE) serving Maryland and the District of Columbia. We are a non-profit organization advised by a wide range of stakeholders who are responsible for healthcare throughout the region. CRISP has been formally designated as Maryland's statewide health information exchange by the Maryland Health Care Commission.
Our HIE platforms facilitate the electronic transfer of clinical information between disparate health information systems (such as hospitals, EMRs, pharmacies, payors, health centers, and health departments). They function as complete, secure cloud ecosystems comprised of end-to-end patient data, and various applications and tools.
At CRISP, we connect health systems, providers, and various healthcare entities to ensure comprehensive and up-to-date data is available for informed clinical decision making. Out platform aggregates data from multiple sources, including hospitals, primary care practices, and specialty care providers, creating a unified health record that streamlines care coordination and minimizes service duplication.
A comprehensive learning system facilitates the dissemination and adoption of best practices to enhance knowledge sharing and collaboration. Users can find all the information regarding Care Redesign and CRISP User Learning Collaborative Events in the CRISP learning system. User forums for key CRP programs are also available. For more specific information about commonly used CRISP applications, view the dedicated learning system pages below:
If you are interested in connecting with CRISP, please call CRISP’s support line at 877-952-7477. A support agent will take down your details and create an onboarding ticket for the CRISP Account Managers to review and follow up with you.
